Punkin Patch

I get all giggly and jittery when I see pumpkin fields. Imagine me in the car with a big goofy grin on my face for no apparent reason. Every day this happens around minute 3 of my 4 minute commute to work. Be jealous, I'll allow it....my commute rocks. Short with a scenic route.

Today after work I sped home, picked up Mr. Anth and together we picked some lovely punkins. Kristi (my dear sister) met us there. If there weren't so many families around, we would have frolicked together in the field. Instead we were civilized, picked our punkins, weighed them, and went on our merry way.

We ended our day with scones and chili....smothered in all sorts of naughtiness: cheese, avocados, salsa, lettuce, and garden tomatoes (thanks Mom). We discussed how it felt like Halloween, "This meal feels too much like Halloween, right?" Halloween is still a ways away, however, it was yummy and I loved everything about our night. Not bad for a Monday.

I wish it was fall all year round.Photobucket

I like that idea. Fall year round, then it wouldn't ever get over 100 degrees. I'm slightly jealous of your commute being by a pumpkin patch. It really feels like it is Halloween. At least I keep forgetting that we're in the beginning of October and not at the end.

Love it. What a great commute.

I wish you would have frolicked. I know how hard it is to stay civilized in such a place. :)
