Well said Presidents of the USA, well said.
I got me some peaches the other day. Got me some good ones! I planned on doing some sort of delightful, exquisite dessert with them tonight. Then I thought, "Is it really needed though?" They are so delicious in their raw form that the thought of morphing them into something else seemed corrupt. Anth wanted peaches and cream. My sister wanted some candied walnuts with them. So instead of some sort of baked good, I scooped out some ice cream, candied some nuts and called it good. Boy was it good! And BONUS everyone was happy.
Peaches & Candied Cream
(Serving Size 3)
2 Large Fresh Peaches
1 Cup Mixture of Nuts (I used whatever I had which was almonds, walnuts and pecans)
2 Tbs Brown Sugar
1 Tbs Butter
Ice cream
Heat skillet and melt butter. Add nuts and sugar on low heat. Stir nuts every 1-2 minutes. Do not burn! Caramelizing happens quickly. As soon as you start to smell the nuts you are basically done. It shouldn't take more than 5 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside to cool a bit.
Cut up peaches and scoop out ice cream. Vanilla bean is my favorite. Add fresh peaches on top of ice cream and sprinkle nuts on top of peaches. Enjoy!

Yum... I think I dead and went to peach heaven reading this post. Too bad the hubby doesn't like them or I'd spend a week making each yummy recipe. Maybe I'll have to do that anyway and just enjoy them myself.

Those peaches look amazing! Love the huge juicy ones. We've had another office bring us some like that & I've had to bring a few home, so good!
Yum! You think living in Georgia I would have access to lots of peaches. False! You've got to head to South Carolina for some good peaches. I love all the peach recipes you linked.
