Exhaustion

It has been a long week. Every time I woke up I felt as if it should be Thursday or Friday, but alas it would be Monday or Tuesday. It was if the week would never end! Hiring the new assistant manager at the inn was exhausting. Interviewing is always a process but knowing that this particular person would take over my duties and would possibly do a better job than me was emotional. I know I have made the correct decision by finding a new position but it is so sad to leave a position where I know what I am doing. I have found myself debating if I have made the right decision or not. Change is incredibly scary for me. I need to stay positive.

Regarding the new position. I want to blog about it, I want to tell about my good and bad days and to ensure that I can do that, I will not ever give the name of where I am working. Just know that it is a hotel. That is all you need to know, correct? I am hoping that I will still have lots of insane stories to tell. These are some of the stories from the Inn that I will forever remember.

Pancake Boob Lady
This was the night that an older well endowed lady called the front desk asking for help with the electronics. I knocked on her door and she welcomed me into her room with just a fish net shirt, nothing else underneath. Staring at me was long long pancake boobs. This is inappropriate but this song always reminds me of this experience...."Do your ears hang low? Do they wobble to and fro?"

Potty Plant
This was the night that me and Lauren saw a man peeing in a flowerpot outside. One of the funniest nights ever. This also was the same night that we spilled a whole candle of wax on the floor. It dried and looked exactly like the silhouette of the statue of liberty.

Hide and seek after the yearly open house, monthly meetings, laughing with the front desk employees, hearing praise from the guests, bank employee nick names, old chocolate shop ladies, wal mart horror stories, interviewing, trade shows.  I truly have loved my job.

Anyways, I'm rambling. I have done some training at the new job and it is going to be completely opposite. I will be working every weekend. It is extremely organized and strict. Because it is a franchise there is no room for change. My uniform is hideous. I thought I would be wearing a suit but unfortunately I was wrong. I wear brown slacks, burnt orange shirt and burnt orange cardigan. The cardigan sleeves are suppose to be 3/4 length but because I have stubby arms they come right above my wrist. Also I had to have company approved shoes. I picked out some lovely shoes from the crew catalog. They are black. I am soooo against wearing brown and black together but I don't really have a choice. I will live through it. After working a few hours there this week I feel as if I will appreciated and that I will be an asset to the company, which is always a good feeling.

Next Tuesday is my last day at the Inn and Wednesday is my first full training day at NJ (new job). I am going to soak the weekend up, soak it up like a sponge. Thanks for listening to the rambling. Thanks for all your support.

This is how I felt when I left. I didn't know what was going to happen next. My NJ is the complete oppsosite, too. And by that, I also even mean I'm standing 8 hours a day VS. sitting 8 hours a day on our lovely IKEA office chairs!

I feel like our jobs will be compareable in different ways. They are both large companies, to which we are not used to!

GL (Good Luck) on your NJ!

It's nice you have great memories of you old job! Laughing about the good times will keep you going until you have fun things happen at your new job. Your work clothes sound so GREAT I might have to drop by just to see them in color!
