Friends

This is going to be 100% sappy. Please be aware.

It is so hard to find a good friend these days. I am so grateful for the friends that I have. I don't have many, just a select 2 or 3. I am okay with that. Not only does it take awhile for me to open up to people, but I am sometimes selfish. Also, if you don't have a sense of humor then you won't get me, for I am extremely sarcastic. Shanna is this person. We are hilarious together but at the same time we know that we can come to each other when we have issues. I love her tons and I'm glad that I have found a confidant in her.

The other day I had to make a trip to the Inn to pick up a dress that a friend altered for me (Thanks Again Alicia!). When I walked into the office there was a gift bag and a book. The book was a collection of all of the photos of memories that I have had over my 3 years at the Inn. Inside the gift bag was some shower gel and an adorable fabric apron that I was ogling over one day in a small boutique in Farmington. Along with these items was a very sweet card congratulating me on Anthony's graduation. Shanna understands how hard it has been on me especially this last year. I cannot begin to explain how this made me feel. It completely made my day and I was near tears as I walked out of the building. I hope everyone has as good of friends as I do.

Below shows how adorable the apron and book is. Sorry, the shower gel is in the shower...you all know what shower gel looks like. The pics are horrible, I don't have time to fix the colors. I gotta head to work soon!

Inside my dear friend Jill (in Cali-I miss you!) and Shanna wrote out a poem for me. We are famous for our awesome poems at the inn.

There once was a girl named Lindsey
Who was totally full of whimsy
She was fly in every way
Who was always ready for the day
She came to us mute
Which we all thought was cute
She opened up to us quite swell
We all had days we wanted to YELL
But not it's time to say farewell
From bank runs, meetings, and write ups
To road trips, nights at the Inn, and even hide & seek
It did not matter the day of the week
Lindsey was always happy to be there
With tender loving care
We will miss you
But we always have Jill to travel to
Good luck with your new start
You'll do great! Because you are smart!

Thanks Shanna for always making my day! You are very thoughtful and I couldn't have asked for a better friend! I hope you are having a most wonderful day! See you tomorrow!

Thanks Jill for always asking me how work is going! You are always a ray of sunshine and you always inspire me to look at the good things in life.

Well, this is definitely my favorite post that you've ever done. Lol. Seriously though, you almost had me in tears. I'm glad you loved your gifts, and I feel just as lucky to have you as a friend! You are the bestest!
Love,
Shanna
