Regarding my hair

So apparently getting your hair chemically straightened is quite the process. I thought that it would take tops an hour, just go in put some chemicals in, let it sit, rinse and go....no people, not at all. Here's the steps

#1 First she cut my hair. It was hacked badly by the hair stylist previous and she was appalled and couldn't begin before she fixed it for me, which I greatly appreciated.
#2 Wash Hair
#3 Grab piece by piece of hair and put chemical on it. Then comb out piece by piece. (hr process)
#4 Wash out chemical (20 min)
#5 Blow dry hair half way
#6 Wash out chemical again due to some residual chemical on scalp (another 20 min)
#7 Blow dry hair
#8 Straight iron hair in small pieces (this sets the chemical and straightness in) (hr process)
#9 Did some more cutting and trimming

Total time was a little over 3 hours. I don't have a picture yet because well, it just looks like I straighten it with an iron. I cannot put a pony tail in until after Monday, also I can't wash it until Monday night. After I wash it I will blow dry it and I will post the pictures. I hope to the heavens that it works. After $120 bucks it sure as heck better! Also, my hair freakin stinks, like perm. My pillowcase will need to be changed every night. Anyways, I'm really excited and I can't wait to wash this beast and see how it looks!

I can't wait to see your hair, I bet it will be beautiful! Just out of curiosity tho...don't you already change your pillowcase every night?

Oh sad!! I would have done it for ya for 45!! It takes awhile to do and it is a little risky.. one girl at my beauty school left the solution on the girls hair for only 5 min too long and some of her hair MELTED off her head! It was crazy! Good Luck! I hope ya like it! I usually just "perm it straight" rather than do an actual straightening process. Its less damage. Cant wait to see the pics!

I'm so curious to see how it turns out and how you like it! I've heard good and bad experiences from other people. I've thought about having that done myself... my hair is pretty curly, but I do have a pretty good straightening process going on now. I would LOVE though to be able to just blow dry my hair and forget the whole round brush flat iron deal!
