Thanksgiving 2012

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. I love it. I love it a lot.
I love my family. I love cooking. I love crowded kitchens. I love touching elbows at the table. I love listening to what everyone is grateful for. I love trying new recipes. I love our traditions.
This year we took some pressure off of Mom and Dad. Normally they make the main stuff and we will bring dessert, drinks, and appetizers. This year Varinia made yams, kristi did roasted asparagus, and I brought rolls and made stuffing. Stuffing freakin takes forever. Next year I will bring stove top lol.
Around the table were little turkey coasters. Each family member has their own and on the back it has the year. We go around the table and say what we are grateful for. We then write it down and bring it out every year. I love it.
Chelsea (cousin from Oregon) came with us for Thanksgiving this year. It was fun to have her around. She is a riot and brought a yummy appetizer.
Ornament exchange! We do this every year as well. We each bring a wrapped ornament and we play the ornament exchange game...you know the left/right story? Google it. Jaden loves it and it is fun to see what people bring. Jaden got a bright green tractor and he couldn't have been happier.

Thanksgiving was a blast this year! I love my family so much and I feel so blessed to have them...every single one of them.

I have always loved Thanksgiving as well. I enjoyed reading about you family's traditions. Sounds like a good time was had. I got to have Thanksgiving with new people this year and it was fun getting to see how they celebrated. Once I have a computer again I'll blog all about it. Umm... I should write things down so I don't forget by the time I can blog again. Any now that I've rambled on and on. I'll let you get back to other important things. Happy Thanksgiving!

That plate of Thanksgiving food look so yummy right now. That was nice of everyone to help take the load off your parents. Im the youngest & there is 15 years difference between my youngest brother. I remember having Thanksgiving dinner & how much work it was for my parents & helping do all the dishes afterwards :P
